Fishing License Required over 65?

Are Texas residents 65 years of age and older required to purchase a fishing license?
Yes.  Texas residents age 65 and older are required to purchase a Texas fishing license. (However, Texas residents born BEFORE January 1, 1931 are exempt from the fishing license requirement.)  Several license purchase options are available for seniors 65 or older:

Fishing License Only:
1. Resident Senior Freshwater Fishing, $12
2. Resident Senior Saltwater Fishing, $17
3. Resident Senior All-Water Fishing, $22

Combination License Packages Available:
1. Senior Resident Combination Hunting and Freshwater Fishing, $16
2. Senior Resident Combination Hunting and Saltwater Fishing, $21
3. Senior Resident Combination Hunting and All-water Fishing, $26
4. Senior Resident Super Combination License (includes all state stamps except the Reptile and Amphibian Stamp), $32
